    Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    The phone is answered 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

  • How do I make an appointment?

    When scheduling for a child under 18, please note that an adult must accompany minors. For follow-up visits, if Dr. Schwartz tells you to come back within a few weeks, it is recommended that you make an appointment before you leave the office, so we can ensure your appointment is within the suggested period.

  • What information will the appointment scheduler need when I call?

  • How long will my appointment last?

    As a new patient, your first appointment may last up to an hour.


    Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete the new patient forms our office will need to have on file.

  • Do you accept assignments for Medicare?

    Yes, Dr. Schwartz is a participating provider in the Medicare program.

  • How do I get a refill on my medication?

    Contact your local pharmacy and have them submit a refill request to our office. Refills are approved during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Please allow at least a 24-hour turnaround time. Refills requested on Friday afternoons may be filled on Monday.

  • What insurance do you accept?

    Dr. Schwartz is affiliated with the following Independent Physician Associations (IPAs):

    John Muir / Mt. Diablo Health Network


    Dr. Schwartz is also a preferred provider for most major insurance carriers. As a courtesy, we bill secondary insurance carriers for our patients.

  • Where is surgery performed?

    Some minor procedures are performed in the office.
